When we first engaged Shaheen from Ta’Leem Consulting, we set ourselves a big challenge: how could we make our Autism Swim learning modules truly the best they could be? We were motivated by a strong sense of commitment to our community. We know community standards of neuro inclusive practices have lifted around us, so we wanted to practice what we preach by refreshing our existing e-learning content and go beyond just offering ‘good content’ and to ensure it is neuro-inclusive, to embrace different learning styles, and to feel genuinely accessible to the diverse ways people think and learn.
Through our work together, Shaheen provided us with practical and thoughtful advice on creating learning that not only resonates in the moment but also stays with people long after. We walked away with techniques to make our e-learning modules more impactful and strategies to ensure the learning really sticks.
What made the experience unique, though, was the way Shaheen challenged us.
